This Privacy Policy describes how the Jamie Templeton Home Dashboard ("Home Dashboard") handles information accessed through Google APIs.
The Home Dashboard is a personal, private dashboard operated by Jamie Templeton. It is not a public service and is intended for personal use.
When authorized by the user, the Home Dashboard accesses information from the user's Google account through Google's APIs.
For Google Nest functionality, the Home Dashboard may access information from authorized Nest devices, including:
The application requests only the access necessary to provide the functionality described above.
Information obtained through Google APIs is used solely to provide functionality of the Home Dashboard and to display information to the authorized user.
Google Nest information is not used for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to the Home Dashboard.
The Home Dashboard does not maintain a separate cloud database containing Google Nest information.
Information retrieved from Google APIs is displayed locally by the Home Dashboard. The application does not intentionally store, archive, or retain Nest temperature, humidity, or thermostat data on a remote server.
OAuth credentials are used solely to obtain authorized access to the Google Nest devices and services permitted by the user.
The Home Dashboard does not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties.
Google Nest information obtained through Google APIs is not provided to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
The Home Dashboard does not use Google user data for advertising.
The Home Dashboard's use of information obtained through Google APIs is intended to comply with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Google's handling of information is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.
Access granted to the Home Dashboard can be revoked at any time through the user's Google Account settings.
Because this is a personal application, only the authorized Google account is intended to use the Home Dashboard's Google API functionality.
Reasonable measures are used to protect the Home Dashboard and its OAuth credentials from unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the functionality of the Home Dashboard or its use of Google APIs changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
